Tanzania 2009
In June 2009, we took 60 laptops to Arusha, Tanzania. GTA has travelled to Arusha in the past, but this was the first trip for GTA-WWU. We installed computer labs in a primary school, a teacher training college, and a medical clinic.
For this project, GTA-WWU partnered with Terrawatu, a non-governmental organization involved in sustainable development. Terrawatu has the cultural expertise and vision to integrate the modern technology brought to Arusha into a more traditional way of life.
